A number of people are already choosing to travel on budget flights just so they could enjoy the modern delights of Terminal 4. And sure enough, this writer has personally been to Terminal 4 at Changi and is happy to report that the short flight back home was definitely worth the experience as you would want for nothing when waiting for the flight at the terminal.
Now there is more reason to choose a transit flight in Changi Airport with the opening of their latest offerings. The idea of Jewel was to further reinforce Singapore’s reputation as a City in a Garden. As such, Jewel is designed to be a one-of-its-kind, multi-dimensional garden to give millions of passengers a breath of fresh air when waiting for their flights.
The garden spans 21,000 sqm of lush greeneries. Developers reported that Jewel houses about 120 species that originates from Australia, China, Malaysia, Spain, Thailand and USA. More than 2000 trees and palms and over 100,000 shrubs are placed around the garden to form the Shiseido Forest Valley. Visitors are invited to hike around the East and West Trail and while enjoying a spot of shopping at the wide array of retail and F&B outlets in Jewel.
Jewel also has a special Canopy Park located at its topmost level. Visitors are invited to join in with the play attractions, themed gardens and dining outlets located in a climate controlled comfort. The crowning glory of Jewel is the HSBC Rain Vortex, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall located at the heart of it all.
Jewel Changi Airport is open to all visitors regardless of whether you’re departing from Terminal 1, 2 or 3. It is also open to those who are not looking to jump on a flight anytime soon! It would definitely be a Instagram worthy location.
