If you’re planning to head down under this (Australian) winter to see your cousin or family member, consider taking a flight to Sydney. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Vivid Sydney – the world’s largest music and light festival – will transform Sydney into a masterpiece of brilliant colours from 25 May to 16 June 2018.
When night falls, vivid lights will transform Sydney’s architecture – spanning from Barangaroo, Taronga Zoo, the Royal Botanic Garden, Darling Harbour, and Luna Park. Breathtaking projections and light installations shine on the buildings to mesmerise the crowd.
Spanning across 23 days, Vivid Sydney 2018 pays tribute to local Aussie artists. Vivid Music presents exciting contemporary music. On day one, hip hop artist Ice Cube sets the stage of Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House; indie folk Iron and Wine follow next. In the suburbs of Newtown: Leadbelly celebrates George Harrison’s music in Harrisongs.
It’s a large light, music, and art festival you won’t want to miss!
